Who we are

securityjobs.co.in is operated by Security Brigade InfoSec Private Limited, an Indian company. We are the data fiduciary for everything described here. Contact:[email protected].

If you apply for a job

We collect what you type into the application form and the CV you attach. That is:

• Your name, email address and mobile number
• Your current location, job title and employer, if you give them
• Years of experience, notice period, current and expected salary, if you give them
• Your LinkedIn, GitHub or portfolio links, if you give them
• Your CV
• Your IP address and browser user agent, recorded with the application itself. They are how we tell a real application from an automated one, and how we deal with abuse.

We use it for two things, and we keep them separate:

• Sending your application to the employer. Everything above, including your CV, goes to the employer whose role you applied for. They are an independent controller of it from that point and their own handling is outside our control.
• Operating and improving this board, and, because Security Brigade operates it, considering you for roles at Security Brigade and its products. If you ticked the alerts box, also emailing you matching roles.

What we never do

• We do not sell, licence or syndicate the CV database. Not to recruiters, not to anyone.
• We do not show your contact details to an employer you have not applied to.
• We do not run behavioural advertising or share your data with ad networks.

If you post a job

We store the listing, your name and email, and a private link that lets you manage the post. Your email is not shown publicly. We email you when the listing is reviewed and when it is published. Your listing shows its own closing date, and the link we send you keeps working after that date, so you can put the listing back from there whenever you want to.

Analytics

We record which listings are viewed and what people search for, so we know which roles to go and find. Views are stored with a one-way hash of the IP address, which is used only to avoid counting the same person twice and cannot be reversed to identify you.

We also use two third-party measurement tools on the public pages, and not on the admin pages:

• Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies in your browser and tells us which pages are read and where visitors arrived from. Google processes that data as our processor. You can opt out for every site withGoogle's own browser add-on, and blocking it does not change anything about this site.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not fingerprint or track anyone across sites. It counts page views and where they came from.

Neither is used to build a profile of you, and neither is connected to your application or your CV.

How long we keep things

• Applications and CVs: three years from the date you applied, then deleted.
• Job listings: kept after they close, so the page can point people at similar roles.
• Alert subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
• Backups: the database and CVs are backed up every night, encrypted. Nightly copies are kept for 14 days, weekly copies for 60 days and monthly copies for a year, then deleted. Something removed from the site leaves the backups as those copies expire, so within a year at most.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email[email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. Deleting your data does not withdraw an application already sent to an employer. You would need to ask them directly.

Every alert email carries a one-click unsubscribe link.

Where it is stored

On servers in India, operated by Security Brigade. CVs are stored outside the web root and are not publicly reachable. Backups are encrypted before they leave the server and are kept on a separate storage server, also in India and also operated by Security Brigade.

Children

This board is for people seeking professional employment and is not intended for anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us data, tell us and we will delete it.

Complaints

Our grievance officer can be reached at[email protected]. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 7 days.
