What counts as a fresher role here

A listing appears here when the employer has said they will take someone with no industry experience. That means either zero years in the experience field, or a role posted as a trainee or internship. Nothing is inferred from the job title, so a role shows up only because the employer chose to open it.

Where people usually start

Most entry-level security work in India begins in one of four places. Penetration testing and VAPT take people who can already demonstrate hands-on work from labs and CTFs. A SOC takes people who are methodical about alerts and willing to work shifts. GRC and audit take people who write clearly and can hold a conversation with a client. Application security tends to want some development background first.

None of these needs a degree in security. What employers on this board ask for, again and again, is evidence you have actually done the work. A lab writeup, a CTF profile, a disclosed finding, a tool you built because you needed it.

What to put in front of an employer

A CV that names what you have used and what you found with it beats one that lists certifications alone. If you have a TryHackMe or Hack The Box profile, a GitHub with anything on it, or a writeup of a box you rooted, say so. Certifications like eJPT, CEH or OSCP help you get read; they are not what gets you hired on their own.

What no employer here may do

No employer on this board may ask you for money. Not for training, not for registration, not for a placement, not at any stage. Every listing is read by a person before it publishes, and anyone who asks is removed. Tell us at [email protected]and we will act on it.
